The elongated shape of the Silica molecules, unlike common spherical molecular silica to date, allows for a new level of sophistication of the tread compound, resulting in improved rideability due to the ability to orient the compound in the rolling direction. In addition, the refinement of tread mechanical strength achieved by the improved interaction of Silica with other components (such as aramid fibers directly dispersed in the compound), increases puncture protection and tire durability.
